Pesky PillYour medication sidekick
WHEN ONE NUDGE ISN’T ENOUGH

Sometimes, you need a phone call.

For the gap between noticing a reminder and getting to your medicine.

You saw the reminder. You meant to get up. Then something else happened.

When a scheduled dose is still unconfirmed, Pesky can follow up with an automated call—if you’ve chosen to turn calls on.

A little harder to brush aside.

  1. Still no scan? Another call, and every 10 minutes after that, until you scan or it’s time for your next dose.

Calls that don’t give up.

You choose to turn them on.

Calls need your consent and a verified number. They ask you to scan your organizer; they don’t mention medication.

Until you scan.

Once a dose is 10 minutes late, Pesky calls every 10 minutes until you scan it. Calls about that dose stop at your next dose time, or at midnight.

No quiet hours.

Pesky calls at any hour. Want it quiet? Scan. You can always turn calls off, and anyone who manages you in Pesky Pill is told when you do. To hold every reminder, calls and notifications, ask in the app: someone who manages you has to approve.

A matching recorded scan stops future reminder actions for that dose. Delivery depends on permissions, connectivity, and service availability. Reminders and calls can be late or fail; keep your existing medication routine.

Call reminders are optional and need a verified number. Once on, they keep coming every 10 minutes until you scan.

Family admins see which of each member’s doses today have been scanned, and manage everyone’s medications and dose times.

Good questions.

Do I need a special pill organizer?

No. The iOS app can generate personalized QR codes to print and place under the matching lids of your own weekly organizer. Buying our hardware isn’t required. Our seven-day 3D-printed organizer isn’t available to order yet, but its print files are a free download, so you can print your own on a 3D printer that prints two colors. See the organizer and get the print files.

Does scanning prove I took my medicine?

No. A scan records that the matching QR code was scanned. It cannot verify ingestion or prevent every missed or duplicate dose. Follow your clinician’s and pharmacist’s instructions.

Will Pesky Pill call me?

Only if you choose to enable them, give consent, and verify your phone number. Then, once a dose is 10 minutes late, Pesky calls every 10 minutes, at any hour, until you scan it, or until your next dose time or midnight. There are no quiet hours. You can always turn calls off, and anyone who manages you in Pesky Pill is told when you do. To hold all reminders, calls and notifications, ask in the app: someone who manages you has to approve, for up to 7 days. Calls only ask you to scan your organizer; they never mention medication. Delivery can be delayed or fail.

Do notifications name my medications?

Not by default. Private reminders ask you to open Pesky Pill without naming medications. If you want medication names in reminders, choose Detailed in Settings (Notification privacy). Notifications may appear on your lock screen, and family alerts name the person who needs attention.
